Eberle Design Inc. to Exhibit at 94th Transportation Research Board Conference
PHOENIX, Ariz. (December 8, 2014) — Eberle Design Inc. (EDI) will exhibit at the 94th Annual Transportation Research Board (TRB) Conference at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, January 11-15, 2015. EDI is a proud sponsor of the event, which brings together more than 12,000 transportation professionals worldwide.
As an industry leader in traffic detection, intersection safety monitoring and access control products, EDI’s exhibit will focus on Eberle Glance® and RAE Glance®, the first system capable of accessing real-time intersection and arterial traffic data from any traffic cabinet, regardless of the traffic controller or central ITS system.
“One of the most critical needs for traffic management agencies and metropolitan planning organizations is access to accurate intersection and arterial traffic data,” said Dr. Bill Sowell, Eberle Design’s Vice President-Business Development. “Our DA-100® system is invaluable to providers of performance measurement data, as it offers accurate real-time information such as traffic counts by phase, phase status changes, cabinet alarms, and duration of signal phase by color. Relying solely upon vehicle probe data is now a thing of the past,” Dr. Sowell added.
EDI’s exhibit will also feature x-Link®, the only interconnected grade-crossing operations recorder that incorporates video and data of critical train and vehicle movements. x-Link® records incidents at railroad grade crossings as it monitors both railroad and traffic cabinet operations and signal status.
The TRB Annual Meeting theme is “Corridors to the Future: Transportation and Technology.” Spotlight sessions, workshops, discussions and exhibits will highlight the critical role played by transportation research and its deployment in enhancing the variety, efficiency, and sustainability of transportation options available for freight and people.
