Eberle Design, Inc. and Reno A&E Announce Senior Staff Appointments, Departure

Ben Luke has been promoted to the position of Engineering Director. He will lead the Eberle Design, Inc. and Reno A&E Engineering team, and be responsible for all software, hardware and industrial engineering, performed at both Phoenix and Reno facilities.

Luis Silva has resigned as Vice President-Engineering and Leadership Council Member. His commitment and hard work have permitted Eberle Design, Inc. and Reno A&E to grow to a new level of performance in both manufacturing and engineering. We wish Luis much success in his new endeavors.

Joe Poister is the new Director of Operations for Eberle Design, Inc. and Reno A&E. Joe will lead the Eberle Design, Inc. and Reno A&E Operations teams and be responsible for product manufacturing and delivery. Joe brings a wealth of leadership and mission critical electronics experience to EDI, with more than 16 years in the manufacturing sector.

Prior to joining EDI and RAE, Joe held senior management positions with companies including Kuehne & Nagel, Power-One, Crane Electronics and Triumph Corporation. Most recently, he was Vice President-Operations at Arrowhead Products, responsible for three plants in California and one in China, where he focused upon Operations, Sustaining Engineering and Continuous Improvement organizations at all four locations. Joe earned a B.S. degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Arizona State University, and an MBA from University of Arizona, and is a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Ben McCawley joined Eberle Design, Inc. and Reno A&E as Application Sales & Technical Support Engineer. Ben began his traffic industry career at EDI decades ago and returns with more than 30 years of experience in traffic signal operations.

“Ben brings significant experience to EDI and RAE and we are excited to welcome him to our business development team,” said John Shearer, Eberle Design, Inc. and Reno A&E Sales Director. “I have known Ben for nearly 20 years and I am thrilled we finally get to work together. We are in a great position to advance into new markets and partnerships as we deliver outstanding service and products to our current and future traffic customers,” added John.

Ben previously held positions as Traffic Signal Technician, and as an ITS Analyst with Maricopa County, Arizona. Most recently Ben was the Signal Systems Analyst for the City of Chandler, Arizona. Ben holds an IMSA Level 2 Certification.
