SIU-218: Serial Interface Unit

The EDI MonitorKey™ CMU Data Key Programming Tool provides the programming interface between a Personal Computer and the Data Key used to store configuration parameters in the CMU-212 and 2018KCL signal monitors. The compact tool connects to a serial port of the PC and uses the MonitorKey Windows based software to read, write, and verify the contents of the Data Key. Software Wizards are provided to simplify the initial setup of the parameter database and check for consistency errors.

The EDI CMU Auxiliary Display Unit (ADU) is a rack mounted display module that provides an LED four color by thirty-two channel Full Intersection Display along with a SmartMonitor™ technology interface to the CMU-212 Cabinet Monitor Unit (CMU).

The unit installs in a 1U height 19” rack space and provides a menu driven user interface to the enhanced features of the CMU-212 Series monitor including the built-in Diagnostic Wizard. Data is passed between the CMU-212 and the Auxiliary Display Unit via the cabinet Serial Bus #3. No modifications to the cabinet wiring are necessary.
